Can I reschedule my appointment? No. If you cannot make it to your appointment you will have to reschedule and pay again.I want more than one service, why does the calendar only allow me to book one? Because students are learning while working on your service this can take much longer than a professional salon. If multiple appointments do not fit you will have to book them each on seperate days. What if I am not happy with my service? Since we give a full disclosure on our no refund policy, and given the nature of a student salon we can only recommend that you schedule a professional appointment at our Professional salon Refuge or try your luck again in the student salon.Can I tip the student service provider? Yes. Students very much appreciate tips.Can I add on a service once there? You can add additional services if there is time before the end of class, if the instructor approves the service, and if they are paid for. All payments must be given to the instructor before the service is rendered.
Do you offer part time schedules? Yes. We offer customzable part time classes in all of our programs. You can choose any number of days per week to attend with a 2 day minimum. The chosen days become your set schedule each week. Does the tuition price include the kit graduation or application fees? No. These are all additional charges.Can I transfer from another school? Yes. We just need original official transcripts from your previous school. We then pro-rate your tuition based on the number of hours transferred.What if I have a license from a different program already? You can transfer a portion of those completed hours into a new program to receive pro rated tuition with less hours to complete.Do you offer financial aid? No. We are not Title IV approved. We do offer easy financing.What are the financing rates? Rates are 18% .What are the finance application requirements? Our financing is not based on credit however, you will be required to set up auto pay on a credit card or direct debit from a checking account, pay a minimum $1000 down payment, and a rovide a valid source of income.How much are monthly payments? Payments start at $150 per month for the Makeup Program up to $415 per month for Cosmetology. Payments can vary depending on your choice of a 24 month loan or a 36 month loan and depends on which program you choose.How do I schedule a tour? Tours are available Tuesday-Saturday 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM and take 30 minutes or less. You can email us your requested appointment time and we will confirm.Can I sit in on a class before signing up? We strongly recommend that students sit in on at least one class to confidently choose this career path. Just email us at least 48 hours in advance to request a sit in.How do I enroll? You will need to email us a request to schedule your enrollment. It will take approximately 45 minutes. You will need a State Issued Photo ID, Proof of 10th Grade Education or Higher and payment. How long is the program? It depends on if you choose a part time or full time schedule and which program you are enrolled in but typically all of our programs are completed in 12 months or less.Is the school accredited? We are not accredited however we are State Licensed as required by by both the Bureau of Private Postsecondary Education and California State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology. Both approvals are required for us to issue you approved hours that are accepted when applying for your state board test.How many students are in a class? Classes are limited to 20 students per class however there are usually around 15-18 sudents in any given class.When do classes start? Except for holidays our classes begin bi-monthly on the last Tuesday of the month. Class months are Jan., March., May, July, Sept., and Nov.Are there part time classes? Yes. You can customize a part time schedule with admissions.How long has the school been open? Form Academy opened in Novemer 2009.Will I be trained to pass the State Board Exam? Yes. You will receive one on one state board training before your test.What if I'm an out of state professional wth a license, will your school help me meet the California hour requirements? Yes. As long as we have the official license/transcript we can transfer your hours and pro rate the tuition. What forms of payment are accepted? Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover, Check (Over $1500 requires cashier check), Cash.
